Is anyone else concerned with how fast this summer went by? It felt like weeks ago I was on the deck of the beautiful Oceanaire Resort at the Virginia Beach oceanfront, not almost four months. This summer has been filled with the perfect mixture of relaxation and work, with more beach days than I've had in years! It seems like a running joke amongst people who live here that "this summer, I'm going to go to the beach more" and it never seems to happen! Personally, my favorite time to visit is right now in early September when the crowds have thinned but it's still sunny and warm!
Jessica and Maksim's wedding day was filled with nothing but sunshine, joy, endless worship and prayer. It was incredibly beautiful to witness and I was beyond grateful to have had the opportunity to document it for them!
What made their wedding incredibly unique and so beautiful was the melding of their two different cultures - Mexican and Ukranian. They both have large families who were able to meet and celebrate together with the new couple!
Instead of doing a first look, Jessica and Maksim opted for a first "touch" which included praying and having a special moment together before they said their vows. It was so beautiful and so hard not to get choked up at how passionate the couple was for bringing glory to God through their day.
A few minutes later, guests began to arrive and take their seats and the bridal party got ready to walk down the aisle!
THAT LOOK! My heart stopped. And I bet you Maksim's did too.
Their ceremony was filled with so many personal touches - a time of prayer by the parents over the couple, worship, and a beautiful sermon challenging and encouraging the couple. So deep and heartfelt.
And then the moment everyone was waiting for...
After the ceremony we hurried down to the boardwalk for some portraits during cocktail hour. I'm telling you - the weather could not have been any better for their day. Perfection.

And then it was party time! We spent the rest of the evening celebrating, enjoying songs in Spanish and Ukranian, some awesome dancing, and a beautiful and breezy sparkler sendoff on the boardwalk!
It was such a privilege to work with such wonderful vendors to help pull off such an incredible day!
